How To Manage Your Wardrobe Perfectly

Manage Your Wardrobe PerfectlyWhen it comes to shopping sensibly and then arranging or wardrobes, we women are a total mess. We buy absolutely anything we like and then have no place to keep it and hence, it gets dumped under stuff and we forget about it. This leads to duplicity of colors, types sometime we buy the exact same thing.

It is very important to keep our closet organized. If that happens we get a full view of all our belongings and save up on space and money we spend on buying the same things even if it you buy jewellery. Here are some hacks to do that:

Step 1 – Know Your Style

It is extremely important to know what style you are comfortable in. Do you layer your clothes or wear a lot of jewellery. Are you a party person who likes getting dressed up and going out with perfect hair and make-up or do you prefer bold colors over the neutral ones. The later process depends on knowing what you like and what you don’t for your sake and not fashions.

Step 2 – Know Your Lifestyle

If you know what your lifestyle is like then it becomes easier to know what clothes you are going to use and need to buy. So if it is something I have to do then: most of the week I need formals for work both ethnic and western, then for the weekends I need casuals and party clothes which can include fancy places or regular hangouts. This means in need pants, shirts, kurtis, formal skirts and dresses, jeans, casual clothing and few fancy pieces. Heels are optional. I need to buy jewellery as well.

Step 3 – The Capsule Wardrobe

A capsule wardrobe is basically a setting where you put together outfits and then hang or stack them accordingly. So your formals can have one section, then your casuals, then your party wear and then your nightwear. So if you have a uniform like a combination of jeans, t-shirt and flats, it is easier to find this combination in this case. Even with footwear, you can section them the same way. With this can have more possible outfits than you think as you mix and match. You can do this with your jewellery a well. Combining statement pieces in one place, earrings in one or you can even do them as per the outfit you wear them with so that when you buy jewellery you have a fair idea of what you own and how they work.

Step 4 – Detox

When you plan all this out and go ahead to organizing your closet, give your wardrobe a much needed detox. Sort out your belongings in three categories of “New”, “In use”, “Give away or sell” and “Trash”. Now, don’t be afraid to do this, until you make space and let go of things, new things won’t enter in your life. Throw away all the things that are faded or stained beyond repair or which are torn, sell things that you have worn too many times or grown out of or don’t like anymore but are in good condition which includes everything from shoes, jewellery to clothes. You can sell them on Instagram or give away to your friends or in family or have a small sale in your house or yard.

Step 5 – Shop

Almost every piece that I have can be paired together in any combination. This is the part we all love. After all this is done, you new wardrobe is set, make a list of all the things you need. Do not buy things you don’t need or won’t wear, when you buy jewellery it is important to know your need and how much will you use it. Also stock for the next season as you realize what all you need in the coming time like maybe boots or a sweater or a blazer. If you wear formals a lot like I do, try to have as many combinations as possible so that you don’t repeat your outfit too quickly.

How To Spot A Low Quality Suit

Low Quality SuitWhen buying a suit, the easiest option is to pick one up from the supermarket rack. But that’s also the worst option, because most readymade suits at your local mall shopping centre look good only on the mannequins. When you buy and start wearing them, they lose their fit, their shape, and their colour. You might say that it’s hard to spot a low-quality suit when it looks good at first glance. But it isn’t really hard, if you know certain things to look for.

What things? Here they are…

Examine The Fabric

You may not be an expert, but examining the fabric of a suit is actually easy. Premium quality suits are made of pure wool. Therefore the first thing you need to check when buying a suit is whether it’s made of pure wool or polyester or blended materials. Look for raw or virgin wool since recycled wool isn’t very strong. The weave should be smooth with no loose strands or knots, since they lead to pilling. Pilling is the biggest sign of inferior quality materials.

Thread Count

The thread count of a fabric determines its softness and durability. A ‘super’ fabric is one that has a thread count of 100 or higher. The optimal thread count is between 110 and 150. If the thread count is higher than 200, the material will be soft, but it will lose its durability. To ensure the best thread count, do a little online research, read the fabric labels carefully and ask the salespersons at the store if you have any query.

Check The Seams

A quality suit has firmer seams that indicate they are stronger and will last long. The best way to determine the seam is to gently pull them a little apart. If there’s a lot of spacing between the stitches, the seam is not strong. Seams that aren’t flat or have been overstitched or have loose or visible threads are all warning signs.

Check The Buttonholes

Although this may not seem important when your coat is buttoned, it is one of the best ways to determine the make of a suit. Of course, a readymade suit from a store isn’t going to have the standard of work that you find in a bespoke suit, but check that the suit’s button holes don’t have tattered edges, loose threads, or weak stitching and seams. While you’re at it, don’t forget to check that the buttons also are sewn on firmly.

Check The Fit

Whether you’re buying a readymade suit or getting it tailored, you must always check the fit. A high-quality suit at the right size should fit you well and make you feel great in it. The coat shouldn’t stretch, pull or bunch when it’s buttoned, and the fabric should be soft and comfortable. Don’t buy the suit if the fabric feels weak, stiff, or loose.

What To Keep In Mind When Buying Men’s Jeans

Buying Men's JeansThere may be a number of items in your wardrobe, but the one item that men cannot do without is jeans. Jeans are a must have item for any man, as you can wear it in the office, to an outing with friends, at home, at a party, etc. Jeans is so versatile that it can be worn anywhere, and anytime. Since jeans are such an important part of your closet, it is of utmost important to make sure that you get the right pair of jeans for yourself.

Buying the perfect pair of jeans can be a huge hassle. However, you can go through some of the given tips on what to keep in mind, when you are in the hunt for getting yourself a pair.

Tips to keep in mind when buying jeans

• Stick to your brand – First and foremost what you should do is try on the jeans of various brands. Each brand has its own unique cut and style and thus, you should find out which brand do you prefer the most. Once you have found that out, you must stick to that brand and not constantly try out different brands. This is because if you stick to one particular brand, the fit will be more consistent.

• Pick out a pair that is made of cotton – You must choose jeans that are made of 80% to 100% of cotton. This is because these jeans are the most comfortable to wear. Most cheap brands, more often than not, mix in other fabrics like spandex. This can drastically affect the fit of the jeans. Thus, you should go for the ones made up of linen or cotton as they are more comfortable, especially in the summer season.

• Don’t experiment too much with trends – It is said that trends keep coming and going, and thus, there is absolutely no point in just following the fashion trends blindly if you do not understand them. So, if you want a pair of jeans that is forever in trend, it is highly suggested that you stick to the basics. Jeans in colors like jet black, navy blue, sky blue, etc are always in fashion. So, if you are not a person who is an ardent follower of trends, it is suggested that you stick to such classics and you will be just fine.

So, now that you have read this article, you know what you must keep in mind the next time you go shopping for a pair of jeans!

Shorts Combination For Men This Summer

Shorts Combination For Men This SummerIt is that time of the year when showing off the bare legs is customary and vacations always need something different from the coat suit and formal wear. However, the million dollar question here is, how are you going to sport the shorts without looking too desperate or a complete weirdo?

To better of your chances at the beach or the exotic vacation, you need to have a better understanding of the combinations you should pair up your shorts with. This article guides you through an inventory of combinations with which you can easily pair up shorts with.

1. Athletic shorts with bomber jacket:Well, it’s not until a few years ago that men didn’t have any specific like athleisure wear. A perfect combination athletic and leisure wear are what is now perfect for the sporty personalities. If you really want to involve yourself with some sporty shorts, make sure you team it up with a bomber jacket and a t-shirt. Bomber jackets are the versatile article of men’s clothing that can go well with almost every kind of dress up. You just have to make sure here is, that you don’t go too flashy and keep the hues to subtle as well as monochromatic ones. You can add color with just one article (either the tee or the bomber jacket) in order to add boldness and vibrancy to your look. Make sure you wear a pair of men’s underwear that makes you feel supported down there. For example, jockstrap or boxer brief underwear.

2. Chino shorts with a blazer: Chino shorts are the shorter version of the chino trousers. They are classy, trendy and very appealing to the eye as well as quite a versatile piece of clothing worn by men all over the world these days. Available in numerous fabrics and styles, chino shorts are very popular. However, the popularity has made men get them and wear them in the same style; which leads to boredom and nothing new. Hence, you can try to club your chino shorts with linen blazer. Make sure both the individual pieces fit you well and are made for your physique or it would look as if you’ve borrowed someone’s outfit. You can choose the colors according to your skin tone as well as your likes. With these, you can try out classic tighty whiteys or even bikini underwear for the right support and the feeling of sexiness. Know more about briefs here.

3. Tailored shorts with a blazer: Yet again, a linen blazer is what you need to pep up your dressing sense in the hot months. On the other hand, tailored shorts are the candy floss for every other man this year. Men have been intentionally opting for a shorter version of the suit pant for breath-ability as well as to get the full swing of summer months. It is not important that you club the shorts with the coat/blazer like the work-wear. In fact, you can explore as well as experiment with contrast shades as well. Make sure you do not confuse the tailored shorts with something that holds a tight grip on the manhood. This would harm your manhood and would make you keep adjusting throughout the day. Anything that keeps a strong, but not a tight grip on the package would be your underclothing article.

With these combinations, you’d be a happy traveler this summer. Make sure your every piece is fashionable, sensible and supportive. Your stylish underwear for men should also be in check with your outfits. Happy summer!

Street Fashion for the Modern Teen

Street Fashion for the Modern TeenIf you want to get street fashion, it’s so easy! It’s a mixture of the youth culture and urban style. Follow these tips on how to achieve an amazing fashion trend.

High heels with shorts, or sneakers with a dress? Which is your preferred look?

Street style is all about dressing comfortably but stylish. You will often see major movie stars wearing torn jeans with flat ankle boots with a long jersey covering their t-shirts. This is simple and easy to walk in without getting your heels caught in a gutter.

Another stylish way to wear street fashion is by wearing a mini skirt, a t-shirt and a coat that contrasts the colour of the mini skirt and reaches further down your legs. A pair of black lace-up boots will top up the whole street style look.

You can achieve the street style look by wearing a pair of boot leg jeans with copper coloured boots. Your top can be loose fitted with a loose fitted jacket over it.

An interesting way to wear this style is by wearing a wool sweater tucked into a formal skirt (white usually looks good) and a pair of black corset heels. The black element in the outfit usually ties the look together and shows that what you are wearing belongs on the streets of New York.

You can try to be bold by wearing a poncho with the neutral colour of your choice. The poncho can be long enough to where your knees reach. Match the look with a pair of 7/8 length trousers in the same colour range as the poncho. Wear a pair of high heeled sandals so that you won’t make the look appear heavy.

If you are feeling too cold for any of these examples then you can try wearing a heavier style. A fur jacket (faux of course) is the starting point. Wear a pair of flared trousers and an ankle boot. It doesn’t scream street like the other looks but it is categorised as this style. If you are not comfortable with the faux jacket, go with a contrasting jacket. Leather works great for street style.

Feeling bold? You can try wearing a wraparound coat that reaches your calves. A pair of thigh high corseted boots will give this look the most chic street style.

Remember that street style has a sense of edge and to achieve this, the easiest way is by wearing a black element that stands out. Anyone can wear this style and the clothing can easily be found at any factory outlet.

Fashion Myths You Need To Break

Fashion MythsThe fashion world is full of rules and regulations; dos and don’ts that sometimes don’t make sense.

They have rules according to your body structure, your complexion, your height and also your work orientation.

This article focuses on the myths that surround the fashion world around short girls. What they should and should not do is a list that limits their options and makes them feel like they are missing out on a lot of things. Well here are certain myths that you can totally break and look epic as hell, as you buy bangles online and flaunt them as well.

1. Maxi Dresses Are A Big No

Who said so? Maxi dresses are extremely versatile and suit every body type possible. You need to find that suits your body type, one that you love and flaunts all your curves and just go to town with it.

You can embrace maxi dresses which have a side slit or are nipped at the waist, you can preferable avoid large prints and go for small patterns or solids if you want to create an illusion of height.

2. Short Girls Can’t Pull Off Midi Skirts

Midi skirts are so in trend right now. They are skirts with the length going up to mid-calves which apparently make a short girl look shorter. If you love midi skirts wear them, with this simple key, go for high waisted designs.

Wear a high waisted skirt with a belt and pair them with wedges or any other heels you like and buy bangles online and add them to the outfit. This is a perfect combination that will make your legs look taller and beautiful.

3. Knee-High Gladiators Will Shorten Your Legs Further

This is a whole bunch of stupid rules that you do not need to follow. Knee-high gladiators are dressy flats that jazz up your outfit and make you look chic. If you like you can opt for a slightly heeled version with like a 2-3 inch heel to make your legs look longer.

Use them with clothes that are above knew level like skirts, short dresses or shorts to get the perfect look.

4. Horizontal Stripes will Make You Look Broader (And So Shorter)

This is something that they say not only for short girls but also a little healthy body type as well. This is absolutely false; just go for smaller, thinner strips that are closer on the top and not from head to toe.

5. Short Girls Shouldn’t Wear Ankle-Strap Heels

Fashion world believe that ankle straps make you legs look chubby. Do not believe that you can wear ankle strap heels and look fabulous. Choose a thin strap which is closer to your foot for a better look and rock that outfit as you buy bangles online and complete the look.

6. Pick Heels Over Flats Any Day

It is believed that short people should wear heels as often as possible to look tall and beautiful. No you don’t, heels are painful and uncomfortable after a certain points and you cannot wear them every day, so if you want to wear flats, wear them. From pointed flats to sandals to sneakers, wear what you like and feel comfortable in.

7. Capri Pants Don’t Flatter Petite Women

Capri pants are a great summer option and look great with tops or even shirts. Go for a mid-high waist design that ends at the slimmer part of the leg for the perfect look and avoid large prints or bulky details like embellishments.

Everyone loves wearing everything, some even say that layering scarves is wrong or wearing bright colors is wrong. Follow just one rule, which is make it about you. Wear what you like and are confident in to look beautiful.

What’s Your Choice of Denim

Raw washed denimThe first thought that comes to mind when someone says denim, is a strong and sturdy pair of jeans. What started with the mere use of denim fabric, in a traditional blue pair of jeans, has now become much more than an indigo blue pair of pants – it’s a style statement!

Wash until perfection!

Jeans may sound like a singular style trend but a simple pair of blue can also have multiple washes and look entirely different, as good as 7 different washes of blue, for 7 days of the week. There are various kinds of washes and finishing that surplus denim fabrics can have and if you are a person who loves to have a closet full of denim outfits, the following pointers could just be your bible!

1. Raw washed denim

Also known as dry denim at times, it’s dry blue color and stiff handle is what defines this kind as the raw denim garment. Generally such excess denim quantities are received straight from the mills and have an unwashed or unfinished look as their appeal.

2. Mid washed denim

This is one of the most common types of washes, which, as the name suggests, gives a mild look to the ready stock denim fabric it is often used on and makes it comparatively softer to handle. A rinsed jean is lesser washed than the mid washed jean because the longer the washing period, lesser the indigo dye color effect remains.

3. Bleach washed denim

Heavily faded, light appearance and major washed-out appeal is how these denim garments are usually described and they are easy to identify in a pile of jeans as well! Bleach washing is a complicated process and is doable only with the help of highly skilled operators but the look no doubt, is worth it.

4. Grayed out/Black denim

A similar dying process like that of the blue denims is used for this output. The change in dye colors is what helps you achieve the grayed out, black or even brown denim garments.

5. Vintage finished look

The more recent and in-trend look of denim garments is the ‘worn-in’ or the commonly known as vintage finish. It’s still growing on the masses but this vintage appeal surely feels like a trend worth watching out for, in the years to come.

There are many other finishes like the all-over tinting with green or brown finishes, the coated denim, light washed denims or even acid washes, all of which make surplus denim garments very trendy and diverse. With all the amazing washes, prints and patterns in the world of denims, you really won’t get a chance to complain about a closet full of denims, they’re an every day wear and yet seem distinct each day!

Tips To Choose The Right Coloured Clothes

Right Coloured ClothesPhysical attributes vary with each person. Wearing clothes by matching your hair colour, eyes and skin tone help to enhance your individual features. Very often, you might have seen that the dress that looks beautiful in the store does not look well on you. Also, you might be addicted to a particular colour just like most people tend to do. This is because that single colour complements not only your skin tone but your hair and eyes too. So, buying the clothes of right colour is very important to enhance your looks.

Here are a few tips for selecting the clothes that go with you.

Know your skin tone

There are usually two undertones in people’s skin – cool and warm. These undertones help one choose the right coloured dress. Undertones can be determined by the colour of the veins on your hand. If the veins are green, you have a warm tone, whereas if you have blue veins, you have a cool tone. Your entire appearance can be changed by the right analysis of your undertone.

Identify your right profile

The colour red is used as the basis for choosing your profile.

• Warm based red – It includes orange and scarlet red along with a yellow touch. If warm based red clothes look good on you, then you have a warm profile. Peacock blue, dark green, orange, yellow, coral and watermelon are the ones that will suit you the most.

• Cool based red – If you look good in fuchsia violet, evergreen, cherry reds, peppermint and baby pink, then you have a cool profile. Navy or royal blue, black and grey are the best-suited for cool profile people.

Understand the colour wheel

The colour wheel helps to show the relationship between complementary, secondary and primary colours.

Complementary – Pick any colour of your choice and trace the finger to its opposite direction, in order to get two types of complementary colours, one being cool and other, warm. If they happen to complement on the wheel, they are likely to be suitable for your clothes as well. Place the colour chosen for your skin tone near your face to determine what looks best. It will further help you in picking the right accessories as well.

Analogous – The colours that are found to the right and left of your selected original colours are the analogous ones. They complement each other and thus, can enhance the beauty of your wardrobe.

Some tricks, tips and warnings

• Combine your favourite dress with your suitable colour to feel the difference it can make.
• If you are obsessed with a particular shade that doesn’t suit your skin tone, then use shoes and handbags of that shade.
• Confidence should always be projected, no matter what clothing you are into.
